Summer Reading Opportunities
Check out these different reading programs available this summer!
DALLAS PUBLIC LIBRARY MAYOR’S SUMMER READING CLUB

Parents, your child will be registering in the library during the week of May 15-19. Students will come home with their log in information and a list of books they are interested in reading this summer!! Mayor's Summer Reading program runs June 3—Aug. 12.
HALF PRICE BOOKS FEED YOUR BRAIN PROGRAM

READ 15 MINUTES A DAY TO KEEP UP AN APPETITE FOR READING ALL SUMMER LONG. (Grown-ups may read aloud to kids who are still learning.)
Download and use this reading log, add up your minutes and have your parent or guardian initial each week. Once you’ve reached 300 or more minutes, bring your log to your local HPB to claim your Bookworm Bucks on or before August 31, 2017.
BARNES & NOBLE IMAGINATION’S DESTINATION SUMMER READING

The Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program is here to help you on your way, encouraging you to read books of your own choosing and earn a FREE book, simply by following these three easy steps:
1. Read any eight books this summer and record them in your Summer Reading Journal (English or Español). Tell us which part of the book is your favorite, and why.
2. Bring your completed journal to a Barnes & Noble store between May 16th and September 5th, 2017. Find a Store
3. Choose your FREE reading adventure from the book list featured on the back of the journal.
SCHOLASTIC SUMMER CHALLENGE

A free reading program in which students log reading minutes as they Read for the World Record. Participants enjoy weekly challenges, earn digital rewards, enter sweepstakes for prizes, find books to read, and more. Stone is not participating as a school, so students will register online on an individual basis.
HEBuddy SUMMER READING PROGRAM

Sponsored by Central Market’s parent company, this program asks students to read and log 10 books and to mail the log to HEB in San Antonio. In several weeks, the student will receive reading prizes in the mail.
